Marina Nogales Fulwood is a director in K2 Intelligence’s Madrid office, where she works in the Investigations and Disputes practice. She works with clients on large-scale international competitive intelligence and board advisory projects, and leads fraud and corruption prevention investigations, large-scale complex asset searches, and strategic market intelligence. She has extensive knowledge in the identification and investigation of opaque structures, embezzlement activities, and unlawful practices, as well as political and competitive analysis. Marina has contributed her experience in investigations and strategy to K2 Intelligence’s Cyber Defense practice since it was launched in 2013, managing high-profile cybersecurity and cyber intelligence projects. Working alongside senior management and the practice’s teams in Tel Aviv and London, Marina helps develop new business strategies and relationships with high-profile clients.
Before joining K2 Intelligence, Marina spent four years at Intecsa-Inarsa (SNC-Lavalin Group), a multinational consulting and engineering company where she was a project manager in the international department and was involved in marketing and communication activities. Some of her tasks included the identification and evaluation of projects in emerging markets, preparation and coordination of international tenders and projects, and management of institutional relations with the EU and multilateral organizations such as the World Bank, IBD, EBRD, and the African Development Bank. She managed the company’s efforts in the EU Framework Contract team for the implementation of reconstruction projects in developing countries and represented the company in the Haiti Emergency Cooperation team, which led Spain’s reconstruction efforts following the 2010 Haiti earthquake. During her time in the company, Marina developed her project management skills, as well as a keen interest and knowledge of multilateral organizations and international aid projects.
Prior to this, she was involved in the launch of a real estate company focused on foreign investors. For the past 12 years she has also worked as a freelance translator for international organizations.
Marina is bilingual in English and Spanish, fluent in French and Italian, and has a working knowledge of Portuguese.
Marina holds a B.A. in philosophy and French from the University College Dublin and a B.A. in social sciences and French from the Open University. She is a certified interpreter.
