Brant Tinsley is managing director at K2 Intelligence, based in Los Angeles. Using a consultative, multidisciplinary approach, Brant provides clients with creative technology-enhanced solutions to a range of complex problems and fact-finding and investigative issues, including internal and external fraud, pretransactional due diligence, shareholder activism and corporate contests, class action and litigation support, and asset searches.
Brant joined K2 Intelligence from Kroll Associates’ Los Angeles office.
Brant has also served as an independent consultant for a variety of nonprofits, including the Open Society Initiative for West Africa, the International Monitor Institute, and the International League for Human Rights. He co-led a variety of projects, among them the development of media and evidence databases documenting war crimes and human rights violations in West Africa. One of these databases, developed from a wide network of sources and containing unique evidence and analysis, was subsequently used in international court proceedings.
Brant began his career in academia, teaching numerous classes at the University of California, Los Angeles, where his focus on supplementing research and investigation with technology was first fostered.
Brant received an M.A. in English literature from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a B.A. in English literature from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
