Project Bella was established as a skill-training partnership between K2 Intelligence and Jesus and Mary School (JMS) in Accra, Ghana, with the mission to provide free IT, business skills, and computer coding programs designed to equip young adults and other unemployed individuals between the ages of 18 and 45 with the practical know-how in order to apply (and be eligible) for jobs and/or the means to foster entrepreneurship.
K2 Intelligence is proud of our involvement in establishing Project Bella in 2015, when the firm’s London team repurposed the office’s former computer equipment and shipped it to JMS in Ghana, where it was used to create a computer laboratory. In November 2017, Project Bella became the Bella Teaching Foundation, a UK Registered Incorporation Organisation (CIO) – 1175778 official charity.
Today Project Bella operates independently and conducts three-month intakes, some with as many as 60 pupils, consisting of three simultaneous components: Basic Business Skills, Basic IT Skills, and (new in 2018) Coding. Since 2016, more than 200 individuals have graduated from the program.
