K2 Intelligence’s membership in the Global Cyber Alliance is noted in “A Global Firewall: Manhattan DA Launches International Cross-Industry Cybersecurity Alliance” (Legaltech News, 20 July 2016). Launched by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office in conjunction with the City of London police and the Center for Internet Security in late 2015, the Global Cyber Alliance is a unique, cross-sector, transnational, not-for-profit organization dedicated to eradicating cyber risk. As noted in the article, “The Global Cyber Alliance will develop prevention technologies and practices for its members in the legal, government, and private sectors with an early focus on combating phishing attacks.”
According to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., “To date, there has not been a fully committed and robust effort among various [industry] sectors to collaborate on how to fight the collective cyber threat or among various governments.” Austin Berglas, head of K2 Intelligence’s U.S. Cyber Investigations and Incident Response practice, is a member of the Global Cyber Alliance Strategic Advisory Committee.
